It is completely different from the 1290. This instrument is built on the frame of the 191 rotary valve horn but with 4 piston valves and a 5th rotary valve. It is a large bore horn , somewhere in the area of .825" to .855". It is compact in design and easy to hold and it has a very nice resonance to it that I haven't found in other horns of this size. It also has the most open low register ht I have ever encountered. Here is a photo of the BBb twin of the new CC.
