Warm air holds more moisture than will cold air. Your horn is acting as a still as the tubing acts to cool the horn, thus releasing the moisture contained in the warmer air. As you play the horn will warm up and the water should be less a problem. Also, a warn hall will be much less a problem than say an outside gig at X-Mas. Give the horn a chance. I have played mirafones for 20+ years and have been spoiled regarding the ease of emptying the horn, not to mention the comfort of the design. However, since you have gone to another horn, it is likely for a reason. I'd bet the added effort dealing with the water will be offset by the bennifits of your new horn.
