I also have a 2145 with the big valve set. I used to get compliments from the low brass in my orchestra when I used a Mirafone 186 CC. Now, with the MW 2145, string players (!) are giving me words of praise. The 2145 is an amazingly good tuba at a reasonable price. The low range is open, big, and full. This may be the tuba I stay with year after year.
