Just like Weril has created very high-quality "knock-offs" of the Yamaha 4V (321) euphonium and of the Yamaha 3/4 size BBb and CC (4V) tubas, they have JUST come out with a knock-off of the 4/4 size Yamaha BBb (4V top-action) model 321.

I'm not sure of the new 4/4 Weril BBb's model #, but this 4V instrument is only $2495 NEW (+ $'s for a case, if you like). The Weril will not have the valve problems that Yamahas have, because in the tops of the valve casing interiors of Weril pistons have a "relief" area: Even if someone REALLY messes up the top valve cap threads (like some kid's dad, etc.) the Weril valves will STILL come out, because (again) the very tops of the casings' interiors are not fitted to the pistons.

Assuming the worst possible treatment by kids, parts for Weril instruments are low cost and readily available in Wisconsin.

Compare this price of just under $2500 to a King 4/4, Miraphone 186, Yamaha 321, even to the "budget" 4V Jupiter 4/4.
