Does anyone know anything about this horn? It has 4 front action compensating valves (like the newer Besson tubas)
I found it on the Willson section of the DEG site. Specs pretty much line up with the Willson 2900. 11-1/2" bell, .591" bore (.631" on compansating side) bass bone shank reciever (2900 has a euro-euph sized reciever)
Looks like a good idea for people who would want the advantages of the compensating euphonium, but are too lazy (like me) to want to even remotely get use to a side action 4th...Or those who just like front action euphs (I actually do kinda prefer using a buddy's old 4-valve front action Conn than a Yammy 321. I guess I just get too comfortable to one thing...in this case, front action valves like my tuba)
