I DID remember, however, that back in the 90's I had the pleasure of hearing the BSO with Ozawa do Mahler 6th in Carnegie Hall. It was the first time I had heard them live. The whole orchestra sounded great, but Chester absolutely floored me! What a sound! Truly ranks as one of the great concert experiences of my life along with Tennstedt's Bruckner 8th with NY Phil and Janson's Tchaik. 4th with Leningrad Phil.
