For the purpose of my "history of insruments" course I would like to ask you all: First what do you think about the idea of Changing it up in the 'Barnes Tuba Concerto' cadenzas? I know that Pat Sheridan takes some graphic libeties in his note choices and leaves a section of the third cadenza out. My curiosity is that he was playing under the baton of mr. Barnes himself, however critics might say that the piece is fine the way it is and it shouldn't be changed. Anyone care to discuss this matter more extensively?
