I am going to be performing this piece with a group next month. It is a laid back kind of piece. The range is well within reach for a high school player. I think it is one that the audience can relate to more than a major concerto or something more serious. It has a jazz feel through out the whole thing. There is even a swing section. The piece is fun and should be easy to work up. Just my 2 cents.
