Someone earlier in this thread mentioned the facet of Willie's situation regarding his persistence. This is so true. Just to give you an idea, Willie was a freshman at the University of Illinois when I was there just starting my Masters. This was the school year before I won my job in the FPO in the summer of 1985. I've been here 18 years and Willie wins this audition now after 18 years of pursuing his dream. That lesson alone may be the most valuable lesson in life.
