Have done a few warnings against bad sales practises on eBay. Not so this
time.

http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=404976531

does present an instrument I very much would like to own. But neither space
of housing nor capacity of purse do allow an ownership by me. Do not pity
me!

My sousas are an Eb Conn 26K. Very good, but not even close to my 4 valve BBb
Conn 40K. The latter being a much larger and darker soundprovider than my
York Master BBb tuba. Even if the latter has a larger bore through the
valves: .732 versus .750.

The Jumbo on eBay has only 3 valves, but according to the seller the top
crook of the 1st valve loop can be pulled through actual playing for pitch
adjustments.

The reserve is slightly lower than 3 times the present bid. That is a number
of the #.000 type.

On this board these large sousas have been called the primary
inspirators of the original large York CC’s.

This instrument ought to be owned by a player appreciating its qualities.
And having a strong back!
