As a BBb player since 1993, I must say that I despise the cut jobs going on, but I see the point. Everyone is trying to get that sound. I got out in 1996 after a year of soul-searching. I was an E-6 all set to go to ACNOC, but decided to say good-bye and try my luck elsewhere. I am quite glad I did. I would say, from you telling it, youi should stay in Japan.
