Only the 1st and 2nd. Some of the tone poems. The two tuba'd symphonies contain major parts, not so much in the woodshedding as in the need to understand their context. The mind challenge is greater than the chop challenge. The tone poem Finlandia has a great part - not difficult technically, but lots of exposure and involvement.

I've heard that Sibelius stopped writing for the tuba because he didn't like it. One wonders what kind of playing he heard. Does anyone else have any info on this aspect?
