Good post jay. I would also think that the choice of a CC would have a lot to do with the blend. I 2145 or a piggy is going to sound very different than a 6/4 holton. That being said, if I was to play it on an F, I would want a larger F, or I think you would blend TOO much with the Bass T-bone and the sound would be too transparent.
