Speaking of the high D: I had someone else transport my CB50 once and this person was almost in a car wreck. The horn slid of the front seat of the truck and the bell hit the dashboard in an odd way. The result was a wrinkle in the bell and the brace closest to the bell was now indented about 1/4 inch. The high D went from almost unusable to not too bad. I think that the top brace was placed in a bad spot and just that little bit of adjustment made all the difference in the world. The fellow that did it offered to have it repaired at his expense but after I played on it I told him he better not touch it. (Now he wants a check for his improvement to the CB50. Just kidding.)
