Has anyone out there ever expieremented with having the third valve of a 4 valve CC tuba a major third lower instead of a minor third? this would make Eb's and Ab's just third valve and D just below the staff and low G 2+3. Would it also be possible to play a low Db with this configuration (all valves and first valve slide pulled out). I do remember seeing an old Sonder CC from around 1900 that had its fourth valve with this length. Would this be possible?
