Congratulations on raising a great kid! I am impressed that he wants to spend his money for a good horn. What he is seeking is quite reasonable if he will look for it. I would also suggest contacting Dave Fedderly, at Baltimore Brass and see what he has. Both he and Dillon have web sites with used tubas on them and either will help you narrow the search, intelligently and gracefully. You will also get a trial period from either if you select their horns and cannot get to their stores. btw, where are you?
