rotary valve tuba cleaning

My fourth valve makes a slight, barely audlible hiss when moving. I've oiled the heck out of it, too. I think it may have deposits in there making that noise. The others are quiet. I've been told that giving the horn a bath might help...AKA removing all slides, flush it out with warm water...etc.
If that's the case, I've also been told, like French horn rotary valves, tuba rotary valves do not need to be removed when doing this...just re-oil the top and bottom bearings with a medium weight oil, instead of the light valve oil.
Or is this a matter of taking that valve out...or even taking it somewhere to get it cleaned. Not sure where in Dallas, TX
Comments, suggestions, advice???
