My daily routine which I take an hour and a half in school to do and an hour out includes the following, excerpts, solo lit., etudes and just basic warm ups. When I warm up I always start with long tones. Then I go into lip slurs. Once I feel okay with that I go into tonguing (spelling) start with eighth note equals 100 and then gradually increase until I reach or surpass my top speed at triple tonguing (again spelling). After that I do a legato etude such as Bordogni in various octaves. And then onto an etude like Blazhevich. From there if time permits I do some lighter orchestral excerpts and then onto the heavies. From there I choose a solo and work on it. Right now on my F tuba I am working on the Vaughn Williams and on CC I am working anything I can get my paws on usually something I have played before and want to improve.
Hope this helps a little.
