I have a slightly jaded opinion here because I've only ever played the Perantucci F. I'm not certain whether it is the PT-10 or 15.. how can you tell by looking? But I digress.. In my limited experience the PT can have a *very* substantial low range if you put in the time and have the right approach. I've been hacking at F tuba for a couple years now and initially I hated the horn because I couldn't get the same kind of sound I was used to getting out of a larger instrument. Now that I've adjusted my sound concept to think in terms of just letting the instrument resonate and letting the air do all the work the horn has *really* opened up. I'm pleased that I've learned how to tackle this horn because I know that if I ever play any other.. based on peoples descriptions of the low range of the PT I should have an easy time of it.

Generally pretty satisfied college kid,
joseph
