I welcome some input about the idea of taking up learning to play the Tuba. Is it very difficult. (I already play piano and can read music pretty well).
What types of music aside from classical can I expect to reasonably play? Jazz? Pops?
Would I always be in the background as opposed to i.e. the melody/lead?
If I were to go forward, what should I buy?
Maker?
BBb vs. CC
Size 4/4 5/4 etc.
Bore?
Rotary vs. trad. valve
Finish: Brass vs. Silver
