The horns have similar playing characteristics. The Cerveny 693 has a "better" sound to me but that doesn't mean it will to you. I must echo what Rick M alluded to in his reply. The St. Pete has a reputation of being a horn that "self destructs" after you play it a while. Look at the archives and see for yourself. I know there are people out there who have them and love them but there are also some horror stories.
