True, but I've seen enough people with doctoral degrees in music have an inability to even rehearse a band, so I've come to the realization that although a piece of paper may indicate that one has paid his/her dues, it does not guarantee that musical ability exists, either in performance or teaching.
I'm just cynical that way....
