My experience has been that most professionals use the aluminum Stonelined mutes by Humes and Berg. I most only as a disclaimer. All the professionals I know use the Stonelined mutes, but there may be some that don't. Personally, I think the "Stones" will be your best bet. WW and BW has the HB208 for the cheapest price, as far as I can tell. It is about $148.00. I hope some others will be able to coment on my "findings" to help you find a good deal on a good mute.
