Good point, the Wick 2 is probably his best option. I personally don't care for the Wicks, nothing about the construction or design, I just don't feel comfortable on them. I used a 7B for a long time on one of my large BBb's. I loved the clarity, but it was very overtone friendly(read:bright) and lacked fundamental(to my ears). Oddly enough, I play 24Aw's (regular for the most part, Megatone for really loud stuff)and find it is the ticket for me. The rim size is roughly the same as a 7B(except VERY rounded) but the bowl is deep. Very rich in fundamental, but touchy in the upper register. As much as people will cringe when I say this, it is my MP of choice on my F.
