BBb to CC was really easy for me (ex-trumpet player), but CC to F was a bit harder.
What seemed to help me the most was to play by ear with the new horn; by practicing scales by ear (major, minor x 3, whole tone, octatonic, pentatonic, etc.), I got a feel for making the horn do what I heard in my head.
To clarify about sightreading, it will help the most if you force yourself to move forward all the time; no slowing down for hard parts, no going back to fix things.
