I just recently bought a new Meinl Weston 2155 CC Tuba. I love the horn. It sounds so great, but technically I am having trouble. I made the "big" swtich from BBb to CC about a month ago. I'm doing much better now than a month ago, but when I sightread or play stuff I don't have much time to rehearse, I do horrible!! My mind still goes back to the BBb fingerings, or even worse... my mind just shuts down, and have no idea what fingerings I'm using (like if I was playing a Cb tuba or something). I have major auditions coming up (like college auditions), and I'm afraid that I'll bomb in sightreading. Any suggestions on how I can get better with the little time I have?
