Best tuners and metronomes

Tubamom (no, I didn't give birth to a tuba, I gave birth to a tuba player) looking to get a good metronome and maybe tuner, for college student xmas gift. Current suggestion to me by a FH player is Seiko SQ-44 metronome and Seiko ST757. Anyone got other suggestions for me? Are either of the Boss Dr. Beat ones worth the cost?
