1. Do you have a DEG tuba rest and how does it work out for you? In the past there were discussions about solutions to the problem of the pads wearing out, but this is a minor problem. 2. Do you use the DEG rest to stand and play? Someone kindly told me in a previous posting that Brasswind does sell an extension pipe so that the rest can be used while standing. I do not know if the K & M similar product rises enough to be used while standing and playing. Your answer to the two questions or your comments on the DEG or K&M would be appreciated.
I want to stand because my diaphragm has a hole in it, so that my breathing will be the best it can be by standing, as all singers know, whether or not as some have pointed out that the breathing may not be the same in singing as in playing.
