Well, the classic is Bill Bell's Foundation to Tuba and Sousaphone Playing, published by Carl Fischer. Not flashy or 'modern', but full of good advice from the master who taught the likes of Harvey Phillips. Combine that with Don Little's book someone else mentioned and you're in pretty good shape.
