yes, they are a "pretty big" ensemble, but they arent "mass" by any means, nor are they full-time by any means.
My only point is, when u see tubas and euphs, it is in a band or an orchestra--that constitutes about 99% of the public's exposure to us. Given that, TubaChristmas doesnt really educate the public about us--no matter how great or awful the performance. TubaChristmas is an isolated phenonmenah--very fun, but too unique to tie to anything else.
