I am a tuba player, but wish to learn to play trombone, and have an opportunity to buy, for $800, a King 3B trombone. It has the word "concert" inscribed on its bell. Its serial # is 518726. The F trigger rotor casing has "12" stamped on it. The slide's serial # is 4144. It is in perfect condition, and I will have a trombone-playing friend take it for a test drive.
If you are trombone savvy, and are familiar with this instrument, please tell me what you know. Good horn? Does $800 sound right? Thanks in advance.
