During the intermission of our final "Sounds of the Season" concert this afternoon the music director pulled me aside and asked if I'd perform a concerto on one of next season's Classics concerts. And (this is just like me) I said, "Yeah, sure," without giving it any thought. I'm at a point in my life now where I don't have many practice hours available to me.
So, my question is: which concerto? I've had the opportunity to perform the Vaughan Williams, the Gregson, and more recently the Lundquist Landscapes with orchestra. Maybe I should just work one of those back up? Or does any know of any others that would be suitable for the venue that wouldn't require 8 hours a day for 6 months to pull off?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
