I did a search of the archives, and read through many, many posts. I apologize if I missed something, but this I think is a unique case...
A very good friend of mine is having jaw nerve problems. (He plays euphonium and trombone). He told me today his dentist said there is a nerve that wraps around through the jaw that is constricting and is inflamed. The pain goes from in his mouth all the way up through the side of his head... (this is why I worry!) He didn't tell me a whole lot besides that (I think he knows I will worry), but I was wondering if anyone has any similar experiences to share...? How would this affect one's playing, would it be chronic? It has nothing to do with his teeth, and doesn't sound like it is in the joint itself, but rather the nerve... this is a first time experience for him.
If anyone can give me more info on something like this, I would be most grateful...
