I know of a store in the Show-Me-State that charged for $100 for a tuba chem cleaning. There process consisted of pouring some vinegar down the leadpipe and rinsing with water. No disassembly and - believe it or not - no lubrication of valves or slides.

I do that to my horn once a year and it only cost me 79 cents for a gallon of vinegar. Except I take the horn apart and clean the tubes with a soft pipe cleaner brush and I lube and oil the valves and slides real good and finish up with a good silver polish. It doesn't cost any money, just a little time while catching a football game on TV.
