My thanks to Charlie on his excellent post. I especially appreciated his thoughts on the enjoyment of making music. I believe we all need to remember those thoughts. Let us be certain to remember what attracted us to music in the first place. Sometimes, in "the heat of the battle," we might forget that for a moment. The process of learning to play well involves a great deal of just plain old work. This, for me, is only fun when I remind myself of what it allows me to do when making music. It, in fact, frees me to actually make music.
I certainly hope we have not read Charlie's last post on this BBS. I, for one, enjoy reading them. Thanks, Charlie.
