Why pick between these two tubas? Are these your ONLY chpoices? If you get either one, for MOST larger stuff, you will be unhappy with the results. If you are going to ba a one-horn guy, you should seriously consider a 4/4 CC. If you are set on a Yamaha, try the YCB-861. One can ALWAYS lighten up on a big tuba, but it is way more difficult to make a small tuba sound big. Good luck!
