How many water keys does your King 2341 have? I find that a lot of water collects in the upper slides for 1 and 3 - where it is easy to get rid of, if you are conscientious about emptying them. The rest (with proper encouragement) migrates to the 4th valve tubing, where it is moderately easy to drain from the water key buried deep inside the wrap. This involves a bit of rocking of the tuba, but no spinning.

I don't think I've had to resort to "the spin" for at least 3-4 months.

Spinning is much more frequent with my Yamaha YBB-621S. On that tuba, most of the liquid migrates to the 2nd valve (which points straight down) but the rest requires about 1 spin per hour. Of course, with that tuba, one can almost toss it in the air and get all three spins in one go.
