I think you are going to find similar comments about any horn. I really like my Sterling but did not like any of the ones I played before (or since) I bought mine. I got the lightweight (read lots of copper) bell and have had the second valve slide shortened and the lead pipe suspended. The whole horn resonates when you play - remarkably so. Other people are shocked when they put a hand on the hand brace and I play a mf "f" in the staff. But as I said, I have not liked any other Sterling I have played. Go play some, and some other horns and let one choose you. The Army conference could be a good place to see several.
