...but might it be possible that during the LAST DAYS of Martin - the "RMC" period - that Martin may have (since Martin was probably COMPLETELY out of the tuba business by then) been purchasing hybrid Conn instruments with a Martin stencil? I say "hybrid" because during the RMC days, Conn was no longer offering 38K sousas - but could have EASILY made them, since Conn was producing both the 14K and 20K at the time...
??? (I doubt it, but am offering up the very unlikely possibility.)
