I'm 17 now, and when I 1st took lessons I was brought up on the Walter Beeler method books. There's a book one and two which progressively get harder. I think that these books are a great start to getting more serious about you playing. The song selections are generally fun, and it has duets in every lesson section which are a neat way to play with your teacher. They made me actually practice which is the goal of everything. From there I just moved on to the standard beginning college etude books. (Blazhevich, Kopprasch, Bordogni...) Just thought I'd give my opinion... anyone else brought up on these books? Just curious!
