best BBb tuba for a "doubler"?

I play Bass Trombone primarily. I have been using a Jupiter JCB-582 4v BBb Tuba as of late. Previously I was playing on an Oxford BBb 3v. Lately I have been finding the switching from Bass Trom. to Tuba not as easy as it used to be.

My question is this: What affordable size/bore/brand of of BBb Tuba (EEb is not a good option as I do a lot of "faker" dixie gigs, and you can imagine the disasters that would abound......!) would be best for a person in my position?

My thinking is that the larger bore Jupiter is too big for a Bass Trombone player to double on. It also has a graduated valve bore which I'm not too keen on, and feel could be part of the problem. Am I on the right track?

Any thoughts from Tuba Guys or "Doubler" Guys would be muchly appreciated!

P.S.(I would love to find an Oxford, Boosey and Hawkes sized bore/horn or equivilant type BBb with 4 valves, up here in Canada!)
