I know this is a rather subjective question, but here it goes. I was a decent player in high school, and fresh. year in college, but have not played at all in four years. I would like to start again, but do not own an instrument. I live in Iowa City IA, and cannot find a place to demo instruments. Even if I could demo some instruments, I don't know if I would still be able to play, or evaluate the quality of instruments played. Also, should i buy a tuba for about 3k now (St. Petersburg?), or wait the five years required to save up more money for a better instrument. The problem is that i am in med. school, have gillions in loans already, and have no time for a job. Any ideas would be great.
