I have one of these horns, but was fortunate to have 5 of them to select from when I purchased it. It seems that quality control at Besson leaves a lot to be desired. There was one other of the 5 that was pretty good, two were real dogs and one was just so-so. Even with the one that I have there is the problem of playing just at A=440 with the slide in all the way. You might have to have some cut off of the main tuning slide. I do like the instrument that I have. It works well in quintet, and I did the Koetsier Concertino on it with my orchestra in October with some good success. You might try some different mouthpieces. I'm using the Marciekewitz N3 on mine. It seems to make response quicker and the pitch a bit more stable.
