We may have covered this ground before, but here's my question : We know these tubas are generally made out of brass. What other metals have been used in tubas through the years ?
After seeing the picture of the glass tuba, I wonder: Has anyone made one out of stainless steel or anything like it ? Boy would that be a load in your lap. Anyone venture a guess on what a steel tuba would weigh ? Any other alloys or materials used that are out of the ordinary ?
