Then DON'T do tuba and tape music!!! I think New England Reveries is a wonderful piece. You should also check out "Tapestry" on Dan Perantoni's Daniel in the Lion's Den CD. It has some recorded Moog synth stuff with a tuba being processed through either a wahwah pedal or a flanger. It is very affective and probably more difficult because of the added need for the wah wah. I suppose you COULD perform it WITHOUT wahwah but some of the phrases that are passed from tuba to synth or vice versa wouldn't sound as seamless.
