Very simply, you guys are unbelieveably ignorant about auditions. Period. What you're (plural) posting publicly is totally pathetic . No wonder the rest of the brass world thinks we're a bunch of dorks. This collection of immature dribble proves it (exception and thanks to Ted Cox). At this level here's no such thing as the "best" player. Some can do some things, some can do others and some sound more striking in the audition environment. When you've been on hundreds of audition committees, LISTENING, then talk. There are more considerations than your apparently stunted experiences and imaginations can conceive. Grow up, children.
