So I have a new student come in the other day hefting the horn the middle school gave him. While he was playing I noticed one very peculiar thing. The lead pipe is small, I mean very small. My basstrombone mouthpiece doesn't even fit in the whole way. I'm pretty sure its a tuba, it's tuba sized, plays like a tuba with the tuba mouthpiece in it, but doesn't play like a euph. with the trombone mouthpiece in it. The horn is Besson with the numbers 2-20 on the bell. Any ideas what the heck this thing is all about.
