One of the worst (if I don't count Jupiters) horns that I ever played was a 641. One of the best horns that I ever played was a 641. Me thinks that there might be such a thing as the "Monday vs. Friday production syndrome" at Yamaha. I have one that I wouldn't part with, and it came with A-flats as standard equipment! When you get a great one, the bore really makes a difference as it makes for an extremely open sound compared to most MW's and Mirafones that I'm familiar with.
