i have been studying these excerpts hard now for 3 years at a major university with a very respected teacher and i still will not fool myself to think that i can even get through most of them without my teacher nailing me on something. if you need to poll the freakin tubenet for the tempi (as you call them) of the ride and prokofiev 5 (!!!!), you should save your 5 dollars that you were gonna spend on a tape, because whoever wins the big jobs is gonna be a hell of a player who has known the tempi for years and years, and can play these excerpts in the dark at 2:00am with the flu. get real.
