I recently started using Claude Gordon's practice book "Systematic Approach to Daily Practice". It was reccomended for improving high range and as an overall improvement book. If anyone has used the book before, I have a question. On the first excercise(holding whole notes for as long you can going up and down chromatically), it says to crescendo at the end, and go until you have no breath and your "stomach shakes". I can't seem to do both at the same time. After I crescendo at the end, in attempts to hold the note longer my sound dies away as I use my last bit of air. Does anyone have a suggestion, or is this normal and ok? Thanks
